About the Author
Philip W. Augustine is a retired lawyer who during his 40 year legal career wrote numerous articles on legal subjects. In retirement he has written award winning screenplays on legal – historical subjects and co-produced the short film Extradition (2024). A passionate student of history, Philip has also presented lectures on historical subjects to various historical and cultural societies and his work has been endorsed by the Osgoode Society for Canadian Legal History.

Philip W. Augustine is married with two adult children. He lives in Ottawa with his wife of thirty-eight years and their Sheltie pup.
